With all the cast members returning one last time to our screens, the series is all set to end with a bang. It was earlier speculated that Ozark will have more seasons, and many fans were actually expecting a season 5. But explaining the decision to wrap the show in two instalments, Showrunner Chris Mundy said, "We always thought five (seasons) was the outside number. It just felt like after that – we didn’t want to repeat ourselves, we didn’t want the show to feel like it was continuing because it was a TV show and it had to continue. So really the decision has always been between is four (seasons) or is it five (seasons)."
Talking about the finale season, Bateman stated, "A super-sized season means super-sized problems for the Byrdes, I'm excited to end with a bang." hinting at a drama-filled end to this widely received series."
Ozark season finale, part 2 is all set to premiere, on Netflix on April 29. Anyone with a valid subscription to the platform can stream it from the said date.
