Nia Sharma Instagram favourite? Television personality Nia Sharma has hit six million followers on Instagram. The actor who came into the spotlight with the television show Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai is one of the most followed celebrities on Instagram. So what makes Sharma a fan favourite?

To celebrate her accomplishment of hitting six million followers, Sharma uploaded a dance cover. In the video, which has now gone viral, she can be seen dancing on the #rebelchallenge. She also thanked her fans for the milestone writing, "Rebelling my way into 6 Million! Thank youuuu all."

This isn't however the first Instagram video of Sharma to have gone viral. Just two weeks ago, she had posted a video dancing on a street in Mumbai, which garnered 449,584 likes. Could the fact that Sharma is highly active on Instagram and succeeds in churning out videos that instantly go viral be responsible for her popularity?

In 2017, a poll conducted by the UK- based weekly newspaper Eastern Eye named Sharma as the second sexiest Asian woman. The first spot was taken by Quantico star Priyanka Chopra. Ever since, Sharma has consistently featured on this list, rubbing shoulders with A-list actors like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.

Nia, whose real name is Neha Sharma made her debut with the show Kaali - Ek Anipariksha in which she played the role of Anu. She although rose to fame due to her role as Manvi in the show Ek Hazaaron Me Meri Behna Hai. Sharma moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting, after completing her graduation in mass communications from Jagan Institute of Management Studies in Delhi.

Her roles in Jamai Raja, Ishq Mein Marjawan and Nagin 4 have ensured that she is always under the spotlight. Sharma made her debut in the digital space as Alia in the web series Twisted. She also contested in the survival show, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8.
