Everything To Know About The Next Season Of Never Have I Ever

The high school series revolving around the life of an Indian-American girl and her group of nerdy friends, Never Have I Ever is going to return for two more runs. The recent update on the show being renewed for season three and season four was announced by the streaming platform on social media along with a picture of actor Maitreyi Ramakrishnan in a saree.

The first two seasons of the show was about Devi, played by Ramakrishnan, an Indian-American who was struggling with the loss of her father, adolescence and nurturing a high school romance. Created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, the first season of Never Have I Ever premiered on Netflix in 2020, with the follow up season dropping in 2021.

The coming-to-age drama focuses on Devi's confrontational meetings with her family and friends. While the show chose to present the South Asian culture on screen, it was criticised heavily for the over-the-top portrayal.

From the beginning of season one, Devi and her friends are on a mission to find themselves a boy to date. Season two ends with Devi being confused about two boys and leaving the audience guessing who is she going to choose?

Reportedly, the creators have hinted that the upcoming season will bring in a special focus to Devi and Paxton Hall-Yoshida's (Darren Barnet) budding relationship.

The cast of the show includes Ramakrishnan, Barnet, Jaren Lewison as Ben Gross, Richa Moorjani as Kamala, Lee Rodriquez as Fabola Torres, Poorna Jagannathan as Dr Nalini, Megan Suri and Benjamin Norris, amongst others.

Never Have I Ever Next Season Release Date

Netflix India posted a picture of Ramakrishnan in a black and silver saree with a deep red background. The caption of the post read, "Dher saree happiness because Never Have I Ever is returning for seasons 3 and 4 (emoji) @maitreyiramakrishnan (emoji)."

Mindy Kaling, one of the creators, announced on Twitter that season three of the show will be releasing soon. She wrote, "Hey crickets! We've got some morning announcements for you: Season 3 of Never Have I Ever is gonna drop this summer!"

The exact release date of Never Have I Ever hasn't been revealed yet.
