April has been a good month so far with a lot of entertaining content online. The first half of the month was exciting which makes us hope for an even better second half. Netflix, in particular, have some exciting series making a comeback and some new series you would love that are scheduled to release soon. Have a look.
Netflix is the best place for binge-watchers who can't choose when it comes to shows and movies. The OTT platform has a plethora of content of all genres, ranging from romance to mystery, drama to suspense and crime. The platform releases engaging content every month which is a blessing for those who love spending their day off in the comfort of their home watching their favourite shows. As we are almost halfway through April, here is a list of shows and movies coming on Netflix in the second half of April that we are looking forward to.

Netflix April 2023 Releases
Queenmaker
This upcoming political K-drama features the life of a strategic planning team employee named Hwang Do-hee who is highly efficient in managing legal complications and public issues for the Eunsung Group. However, she ends up joining hands with human rights lawyer Oh Kyung-sook who wants her on her side to win the upcoming mayor elections. Despite their difference of opinion, the two of them come up with the best measures to deal with the challenges they face in the elections. The show starring Kim Hee-ae and Moon So-ri releases on April 14.
Longest Third Date
This is a Netflix documentary that shows the life of two people who were stuck with each other during the Covid-19 pandemic and how they navigated their love for each other. The series is about Matt Robertson and Khani Le who met on a dating app and decided to go to Costa Rica for their third date. However, they end up getting stuck with each other when lockdown is announced and have no option than to learn how compatible they are. The show includes real footage from their stay in Costa Rica and how they dealt with love and pandemic. Watch their love story on April 18.
Indian Matchmaking Season 3
Sima Taparia is back to play the cupid in the life of single Indians and Indian-Americans with her years of experience and connections. This season will include singles and couples from previous seasons like Rushali, Aashay and Viral along with London-based Priya who is looking for love after a divorce. The new contestants include a doctor, a math teacher and a client who Taparia related to her younger self. The matchmaking resumes on April 21.
The Light We Carry: Michelle Obama And Oprah Winfrey
Two inspiring women sit together to discuss their challenges, outlook on life and various incidents that left them with valuable lessons. Former first lady of the USA, Michelle Obama will be seen talking about what shaped her famous book The Light We Carry: Overcoming In Uncertain Times and sharing her experiences with Oprah Winfrey. This is an 80-minute long special that you can't miss as two of the most empowering women talk about what life was for them and what they made it to be. The program releases on Netflix on April 25.
The Good Bad Mother
This upcoming Korean drama stars Ra Mi-ran, Ahn Eun-jin and Lee Do-hyun in pivotal roles. The series is about a single mother who worked hard on farms to raise her son and provide him the best education. She was strict with him to make him successful and when he grew up to become a successful prosecutor, their relationship was already distant and bitter. However, an accident turns his mind into that of a child which creates an opportunity for the mother-son to redefine their bond and get closer to each other. The show releases on April 26.
Firefly Lane Season 2 Part 2
This popular Netflix show celebrates the 30-year long friendship of Kate Mularkey and Tully Hart from when they met as little girls in the Firefly Lane to being grown-ups with their own problems and dilemmas. The show navigates through their ups and downs and somehow they end up breaking up as grown adults. The first part of season 2 of the show was a roller coaster ride and ended up revealing the reason behind Tully and Kate's split and the second part, which is the finale of the series, will see how the friends deal with their issues and come back together. The final part releases on April 27.
