Nayanthara is all set to marry her fiance Vignesh Shivan on June 9, 2022. The wedding is on the cards and the couple even invited the CM of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin. The couple is busy in preparations but is careful to thank their fans for their love and blessings. Nayanthara's fans are eager to see the couple transit into a new relationship but before they step into a new phase of their life, let's have a look at how it all started.

South Superstar Nayanthara had her fair share of some failed relationships with some well-known celebrities like Silambarasan, Udhayanidhi Stalin and Prabhudeva. Then in 2015, she met Vignesh Shivan on the sets of her movie Naanum Rowdy Dhan with Vijay Sethupathi directed by Shivan. The two hit it off and were seen spending the free time they got together, exploring and understanding each other better. Mansoon Ali Khan was a part of the film's cast and in one of the movie's press conference, he revealed that the two would talk for hours with each other on the sets. At that time, the couple laughed it off and did not confirm anything but the hint was out there.

The couple went on to make it official in 2017 when they attended an award show in Singapore together and sat next to each other during the ceremony. While Vignesh won Best Director for Naanum Rowdy Dhan, Nayanthara won the Best Actress and the couple thanked each other during their acceptance speeches. They were even teased by the award show host which they took sportingly. Hence began the string of mushy, romantic pictures of the couple together on the social media that Vignesh shared.

They went to ceremonies, religious places and trips together until on March 25, 2021, Shivan shared a pic with Nayanthara that excited their fans as the actor was seen donning a ring on her finger. But the couple did not reveal anything and kept the fans in confusion until August 2021 when Nayanthara confirmed their engagement during an interview. Since then the fans were excited for their wedding and in March 2022, a picture of the couple from Chennai's Kaligambal temple stirred rumours of their secret wedding as Nayanthara was seen with sindoor on her forehead.

The couple made an official announcement of their wedding on June 7, 2022 and shared that the wedding will take place on June 9 at a resort in Mahabalipuram. The couple has said that they will share the pictures of their wedding in the afternoon of June 9 and will make their first appearance as a married couple on June 11.
