Munmun Dutta trending on Twitter: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah star Munmun Dutta is trending on Twitter today. However the reason behind this trend isn't any controversial comment or video shared by the actor or her comeback to the popular comedy serial. In fact, it is rumours of her romance with a co-star from the show that have brought Dutta back in news on social media.
A recent news report suggest that Dutta, who plays Babita Krishnan on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is in a relationship with Raj Anadkat, who plays Tapu on the same show. A constant track on the show has been Jethalal's perennial crush on "Babitaji". The fact that Jethalal (played by Dilip Joshi) is the on-screen father of Anadkat's character on the show hasn't gone unnoticed by social media.
According to E Times report, Dutta and Anadkat have been seeing each other for quite some time now and other cast and crew members on the show seem to be well aware of it. So are their families. A source revealed, "Nobody teases them, they don't try to steal moments with each other."
While there is no confirmation from Dutta or Anadkat as of yet, this hasn't stopped social media from churning out memes on their relationship. Most of the memes focussed on Jethalal and how crushing this revelation must be for the character.

As expected, social media had a lot to say about the nine-year age gap between Dutta and Anadka. Not all of it was pleasant, but then when is it ever?
Dutta was in news in May this year after a video of her using a casteist slur in a makeup tutorial went viral. The video led to an immense backlash against the actor. On May 29, a FIR was registered by the Mumbai police against her following a complaint made by a community leader named Naresh Bohit. In June Dutta got a huge relief after the Supreme Court of India stayed all the FIRs made against her. In July it was reported that Dutta's character was written out, temporarily, from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah to protect the show from facing any backlash. However, Dutta's Babitaji is back on the show now.
