Riteish Deshmukh And Genelia D'Souza Back On-Screen After A Decade With Their Upcoming Film 'Mister Mummy',All Details Here

The power couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza will reunite in a film for the first time in ten years in the romantic comedy-drama Mister Mummy. Following their 2012 Mandeep Kumar-directed romance comedy Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, the two will share the screen again.

The couple posted the posters on social media with the punchline "WHOLE HEARTED COMEDY... PET SE!" to promote their upcoming love family drama. Genelia tweeted while sharing the poster, “A twisted laughter ride and story like never seen before. Get ready to laugh your heart out and till your stomach hurts”. Riteish also shared the poster of the film on his profile.

Mister Mummy Plot And Cast

The ">story's central conflict involves a couple who are both insane and have opposing views on parenting. Riteish Deshmukh plays the role of a PT teacher, Amol in a school who has married his childhood sweetheart Gugloo performed by Genelia D'Souza. The couple is expecting but with a twist where both of them can be seen with a baby bump.

The trailer shows that the film attempts to show something bizarre where a man is pregnant with a healthy baby and the doctor played by Mahesh Manjrekar is shocked by what he sees in the reports. All the other characters are also unable to understand how this impossible biological occurrence is happening as they question about how the baby will be delivered or what will the children call him. In one scene Deshmukh's character can be seen lactating as well. The movie's plot appears to be both humorous and exciting.

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza will be seen in the lead roles in the film. The film is helmed by Shaad Ali, who is known for his directorial work in movies like Saathiya (2002), Bunty Aur Babli (2005), OK Jaanu (2017), Soorma (2018) etc. This project is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner of their home production company T-Series, in association with director Shaad Ali’s Hectic Cinema. Siva Ananth is also one of the co-producers bankrolling the film under Hectic  Cinema.

Additionally, Riteish and Genelia are scheduled to appear in the upcoming Marathi film Ved. Riteish makes his directing debut with this movie, and Genelia makes her Marathi acting debut. The 2003 movie Tujhe Meri Kasam marked the couple's entry into the Bollywood film industry. On the movie sets, they fell in love and married in 2012.
