Lambba and Tham tied the knot in 2015. Things turned complicated when five years into the marriage she announced her divorce from the restaurateur in August last year. This came as a shock for her fans but Lambba added that it was an amicable separation. Now, around a year after her divorce, she told TOI that sometimes things just don't work out and there's no one to blame. "Some things are too private to talk about as it would be disrespectful to the other individual,” she confessed.

She also emphasised that "the end of a relationship or marriage is not the end of life" and that, if she can, anyone can have another chance at love. Adding that if one desires one will be able to brush the past aside and be in a relationship that will help them grow in life. In an earlier conversation with Navbharat Times, she had explained how it is not justified for anyone to stay in a relationship or marriage if they are not happy.

Lambba claimed while deciding to part ways is not easy, staying in a “toxic” relationship is even more harder and can affect your mental health. She went on to add that marriage is not the answer to all problems in a person’s life and that there are many other important aspects in one’s life that one needs to focus on. She said she has seen women being usually “recognised” by their relationship status and that is unfortunate, she said. She hopes with time, more and more people will start normalising walking out of toxic relationships or marriage. "The only reason I’m now talking about it is to help people stuck in similar situations and to show that things will get better,” the Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. actor said TOI.

Lambba made her debut in Bollywood with Yahaan in 2005. She has starred in films like Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Kidnap, Well Done Abba and Hum Tum Shabana.
