Indian Idol 12 contestant Shanmukhapriya has now won all the love and praise from the audience.

However, she was recently trolled for her rendition of Shravan Rathod’s Humko Sirf Tumse Pyaar Hai. Many said that she ruined the song with her singing, and demanded her eviction from the show.
She reacted to the trolls by saying that she always takes online hate 'with a pinch of salt.'
“I came to know about the happenings only after a few of my well-wishers reached out to me. I tried to take the trolls with a pinch of salt,” Indian Idol 12 contestant Shanmukhapriya told Yo!Vizag in an interview.

Shanmukhapriya was born in 2002, in Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
She completed her schooling at Sri Chaitanya Techno School in Asilmetta, Vizag.
Shanmukhapriya was exposed to music from a very young age, as she was born into a musical family. Her mother is a music teacher, while her father plays the veena and violin.
It was her father who first noticed her ability to sing. He once noticed her humming to the tune of an alarm clock and instantly took out the veena, to give her the notes and rhythm.
She became the youngest participant in the Zee Telugu Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs for the first time in the year 2008.
She went on to participate in numerous music reality shows such as ZeeTV’s Voice India Kids, Paaduta Teeyaga, Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs, and many more.
She also got the opportunity to sing the title song in the Telugu film, Tejam.
For Indian Idol 12, Shanmukhapriya sang Kishore Kumar's Main Hoon Jhoom Jhoom Jhumroo. She got a standing ovation from the judges for yodelling effortlessly.
