What you should know about Manju Warrier horror film: Manju Warrier's techno-horror film Chathur Mukham is all set to make its premiere on OTT. The film is the story of a woman who is heavily dependent on technology finds herself trapped in a virtual nightmare.
The film also has an international title, "The Fourth Face" and is selected for the 25th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) held in South Korea, which is one of the most premier festivals for the fantasy and horror genre. Chathur Mukham was also showcased in the World Fantastic Red sections of the festival.
Here are 10 things we know about Manju Warrier's techno-horror film Chathur Mukham:
1. Releasing on July 9, the film is claimed to be South India's first techno-horror film.
2. The film will premiere exclusively on ZEE 5 on the said date.
3. According to the trailer, the film tells the story of Tejaswini who experiences paranormal occurrences around her after she purchases a new phone.
4. The film features Manju Warrier, Alencier Ley Lopez, Shyamaprasad, Rony David, and Niranjana Anoop in key roles.
5. Chathur Mukham was previously released in April this year but was removed from theatres due to the sudden rise in COVID-19 cases across the country.
6. After the incident, Warrier, who is the main lead of the film, assured that her film will be back for the viewers and she will re-release it once the pandemic was under control.
7. Even though the film was pulled back soon after its release, it became a huge success when it first hit the theatres and received a very encouraging response from the audience.
8. The trailer of the film released on April 2 this year and has gained over 2.4 million views on YouTube.
9. Previously, Warrier said that most of the shows of the film were running a house full under the COVID conditions and thanked the audience for their enthusiastic response.
10. Chathur Mukham is written by Abhayakumar K and Anil Kurian and helmed by Ranjeet Kamala Sankar and Salil Menon.
