Fahadh Faasil's Malayalam Language Film Malik To Release On This Date

Malik release date: Joji actor Fahadh Faasil is all set for the release of his next his Malayalam film Malik, which is touted to be an edge-of-the-seat political drama. The film revolves around the life of Malik, played by Faasil, who deals with the displacement of people of minority community.

The film is written, directed, and edited by Mahesh Narayan, whose film C U Soon was highly praised by film critics. Malik focuses on the atrocities carried out against minorities and Narayan had earlier revealed that the film is inspired by real-life events. It tells the story of the minority communities living in coastal islands where politicians and corporations conspire against them for their selfish needs.

The film was previously set to have a theatrical release, but the makers have opted for an OTT release for Malik due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from Fahadh Faasil the film also features actors Nimisha Sajayan, Joju George, Biju Menon, Vinay Forrt, and Dileesh Pothan in important roles. Sajayan, who was a part of the highly acclaimed Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen will be seen in two avatars in the film- as an older and younger version of her character in the film.

Malik is produced by Anto Joseph and the rest of the crew of the film include composer Sushin Shyam, cinematographer Sanu John Varghese, and sound designer Vishnu Govind.

Venal actor Jalaja will also make her comeback in the industry through the film.

Malik Release Date

The film is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 15 after which it will be available for streaming to all subscribers of the OTT platform.
