Maja Ma is an upcoming Amazon Prime movie about a Gujarati middle class family and revolves around a mother who unwittingly becomes a hurdle in the marriage of her own son. Now she is on a mission to do everything in her power to make things right and unite the two lovers.
Maja Ma is an upcoming Gujarati family drama produced by Amritpal Singh Bindra and directed by Anand Tiwari which revolves around a marriage between a middle class Indian family and an upper class American-Indian family. The trailer showed a middle class Gujarati family consisting of a non-English speaking father, a dancing and cooking expert mother, a troublemaker daughter and a 9-to-5 employee son.
The son falls in love with an NRI girl and when his mother knows about this, she arranges an alliance for them. The families, though completely opposite of each other, meet and the marriage is fixed. However, a rumour about the matriarch ends up not only wrecking havoc in their simple life but also becomes a hurdle in the marriage.

The movie stars Madhuri Dixit in the role of Pallavi Patel, a perfect mother, wife and daughter. She is extremely talented and a multi-tasker and is always there to do anything for her family, even if it comes at the cost of her own self. Gajraj Rao will be seen playing Manohar Patel, who has his own set of beliefs but none of them comes in the way of cherishing his family. Tejas Patel, played by Ritwik Bhowmik, is a responsible, ambitious, caring and understanding son of the family who loves and understands his mother. Srishti Shrivastava plays Tara Patel who is opinionated, strong-willed and bold. She always speaks her mind and is passionate and independent.
Tejas Patel falls in love with American-Indian Esha Hansraj, played by Barkha Singh. She is modern and free spirited daughter of a conservative family who is madly in love with Tejas and finds his family fascinating and welcoming. Her conservative parents, Bob and Pam Hansraj, are played by Rajit Kapur and Sheeba Chadha, agree to her alliance out of their love for her. However, after rumours about Pallavi spread, they propose to call of the engagement.
Other cast ">members include Simone Singh, Ninad Kamat and Malhar Thakar. The movie is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video on October 6, 2022.
