Mahesh Bhatt's Ranjish Hi Sahi Released: All You Need To Know

Ranjish Hi Sahi is a web series created by Mahesh Bhatt which released on 13 January on Voot Select. The teaser of the series was released on December 27, 2021, and it showed that the web show will be a love story.

The series will mark director Mahesh Bhatt's digital debut. He collaborated with Jio Studios and it will be first web series created by both parties.

• The web series stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Amrita Puri and Amala Paul as the lead characters.
• The movie is reportedly based on the love story of Parveen Babi and Mahesh Bhatt which is said to have begun in 1977 after she broke up with her then-boyfriend Kabir Bedi.
• Ranjish Hi Sahi is based on the backdrop of the 1970's era where we see Tahir in the role of Shankar, a struggling film director. Amrita plays the role of Anju, Shankar's wife while Amala is in the role of Aamna, a diva.
• The series is about a love triangle where we see Shankar falling for Aamna despite of being married to Anju.
• The creation credits for the series go to Mahesh Bhatt, but the movie is written and directed by Pushpdeep Bhardwaj.
• The official trailer was released on Jan 4, 2022. "From the lanes of Bombay and the glamour of Bollywood in the 70s, comes a dramatic love story about a struggling director, his wife, and his superstar lover", reads the description of the trailer. It has got 17,312,503 views so far.

• In an interview with Hindustan times, Tahir Raj Bhasin said that 50 percent of the story is inspired from Mahesh Bhatt's true life incidents and 50 percent of it is fiction. He also added that he put on 8-9 kilos because his character Shankar is a little older.
