Made in Heaven season 2: Amazon Prime Video recently announced that its popular series would return with new seasons. Made in Heaven is an Amazon original series developed by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti.
Made in Heaven premiered on OTT in 2019 and followed two wedding planners as they juggled their personal lives while working on large-scale Indian weddings. The main protagonists were Tara (Sobhita Dhulipala) and Karan (Arjun Mathur), who own a wedding planning company. The show quickly developed a following among viewers; hence, when season 1 ended with nine episodes, the show was instantly renewed for a second season. The filming for the second season also began in 2020, but due to the pandemic it was postponed, and the filming finally concluded in April 2022.
The show will soon return on OTT, but it has been over two years since the first season ended, so for those planning to watch the second season, here is a recap of the season finale, which reveals how both Tara and Karan finally leave their respective relationships and start a new chapter in their journey, so that you can watch the new season with a fresh memory.
The last episode, The Great Escape, begins with the story of a wedding between two rival political parties, the Singhs and the Yadavs. This marriage serves as a stamp of approval for the Yadav family and Vishal Singh, the groom. However, Tara's mother-in-law suggests that she get something new for Tara and Adil's wedding anniversary. Adil's affair is well known to her mother-in-law, who tells her to put it behind her and compromise.

The bride, Nutan Yadav, on the other hand, arrives inebriated to greet the guests. Tara, Karan, and Kabir become concerned when the Yadavs jitter when speaking with the media. The plot soon develops, revealing that Nutan has been in love with a Christian engineer John Matthew since her college years. Out of dread of her overbearing parents, she accepts this political marriage. However, after learning about her circumstances through Kabir, Karan and Tara resolve to assist her in escaping this forced relationship.
They also discover that Nutan's older sister was murdered by her own parents under the guise of suicide because she disobeyed her parents by liking a man they didn't approve of, who was then murdered by them. They successfully get Nutan to leave her home the day before her wedding, and she marries John in a church.
The lead characters then return to their personal lives after this enormous accomplishment. Karan meets with Nawab and apologises for his previous actions, which Nawab gratefully accepts. They enjoy an intimate moment with one another later. On the other hand, Tara is getting ready for her wedding anniversary, and Adil is continuously receiving calls from Faiza ( the one having an extra marital affair with him). Tara refuses to compromise her integrity any longer and confronts Adil. Tara finally confesses her sins after much argument. She was the one who disseminated the CCTV footage. The video of Tara and Adil getting intimate in the office had initiated their relationship and then their marriage. Tara confesses that she was the one who leaked it.
The episode concludes with Karan and Tara leaving their respective homes, devastated and destroyed by remorse, in quest of hope. They both arrive at Made in Heaven's office, which has been completely damaged by goons. Tara, on the other hand, shares that she took all of her jewellery with her when she left Adil's residence.
Vishal Singh is played by Anjum Sharma, Nutan Yadav by Rasika Dugal, Faiza Naqvi by Kalki Koechlin, while Nawab is played by Vikrant Massey in this episode.
