Taapsee Pannu's ambitious Sci-Fi comedy Looop Lapeta is all set for its digital release in February. Shot during the pandemic, the film's release had to be stalled multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eventually, its makers decided to release the film directly on OTT.
Apart from Pannu as Savi, the film also features actor Tahir Raj Bhasin as her boyfriend Satya. Actors Shreya Dhantwantry and Dibyendu Bhattacharya will also be seen in pivotal roles. The film has been directed by Aakash Bhatia and is said to be an official remake of the cult German film Run Lola Run, featuring Franka Potente and Moritz Bleibtreu.
The trailer of Looop Lapeta received a thumbs up from viewers for its quirky tone and vibrant colour palette. While viewers expect nothing short of a hatke film from Pannu, who is known for her unique and unpredictable selection of projects, it seems the actor has outdone herself by choosing to be a part of this eccentric project.
What is Looop Lapeta about?
Looop Lapeta trailer introduces us to Savi, who has spent most of her life on the run, until she finds solace in the company of Satya and eventually begins dreaming of settling down with him. But Satya has gambling issues, which lead him to lose 50 lakh rupees belonging to a local strongman who would only spare his life when he returns the money.

With her boyfriend's life on the line, Savi must race against the time to gather the required money by hook or crook. However, there's another catch, when Savi fails to save Satya, the story resets itself to the moment he had called her and told her to get him 50 lakh rupees. With this, Savi gets another chance at saving her boyfriend and making a different set of choices, but is that enough to save Satya's life?
