OTT platforms in 2022 have given some amazing options to enjoy your leisure time or a break from the stress of work. What better than watching some cringe-worthy shows for fun?

We all are familiar with the guilty-pleasure shows on television or OTT that we tell our friends that we don't like but in reality, enjoy the drama and the portrayal of fancy lifestyles or peeking into the lives of celebrities. In 2022 we had plenty of options to choose from regarding this genre. Here is a list of shows on OTT that made us cringe but also liked watching them a little.

Most Cringey Shows On OTT

Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives Season 2

One of the flag bearers of over-the-top drama is the lives of these Bollywood wives, Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Seema Sajdeh and Bhavana Pandey who launched their first season back in 2020 and were back with a second season this year with more drama. The show only follows the lives of these women and their fights, friendships, change in perspectives and adventures. One has to leave behind their judgemental glasses before watching the show otherwise one would wind up criticising it too much. We all love to hate the rich and judge them for their influence and privilege but again the show is for entertainment and having a good time watching them, instead of comparing their lives with one's own.

Indian Matchmaking season one had drawn all sorts of conversations as the whole country cringed at the unbelievable lives of rich Indians and how they deal with marriage. Indian marriage business has been sketchy always but the showcase of it made people understand its shallow nature. Seema Aunty and her judgements and advice make one cringe but also the reality of how the previous generation looks at love, courtship, marriage or even body image issues. The also makes you worry and question if at all as a society we are on a path of progression or regression.

Koffee With Karan Season 7

This show needs no introduction, for the last 18 years, Karan Johar has been hosting one of the most talked about talk shows in the Hindi entertainment business. Johar conducts his jolly and gossip-searching demeanour like always and asks the guests some inappropriate questions about their love lives and sex lives. There were some debut appearances along with Koffee veterans. This time South Indian actors like Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu also featured in the episodes of the show. The show as they claim themselves is a guilty pleasure for many and it continues to be one the top of the Indian audience's list.

Moving In With Malaika

Malaika Arora launched her own show this year and it is exactly what people had expected it to be, a peek into the life of Arora who belongs in this industry for a very long time now. Her same old privileged attitude with first-world problems made the audience have a deja vu with Fabulous Live Of Bollywood Wives. Arora claims that she has faced a lot of hatred and trolling due to some of the decisions she made in life and she wants to clear these ideas and let her fans and other audiences have a look into who she actually is before they pass any judgements. The show does make you cringe but also might make you want to watch more of it.

Love Is Blind Season 3

This reality show has been in the discussion on social media for its shallowness. The process of meeting two people and expecting them to randomly fall in love looks unreal. It is not unknown to anybody that the shows like these are scripted but anyway people root for some of the people in them. It is a good watch if you have enough time to kill and you need some drama and spice in your mundane life. Don't watch it to have faith in blind dates or to learn how to fall in love.

Too Hot To Handle

Seasons three and four of this show were released in 2022 and have continued to show its bizarre content. The concept of staying celibate in spite of being around attractive people is awarded here. Again a guilty pleasure as the audience enjoys watching other people in a challenging position, trying to figure out their desires and maybe imagining one's own self in such a place to wonder what would have happened. The ">show doesn't make much sense in real life but that is not the point of watching it.
