After Indian actor Dhanush bagged the role in the big-budget Hollywood film, The Gray Man, another actor has joined the project. Aishwarya Sonar has now become a part of the Russo brothers' — Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo — next venture.
The Gray Man, produced by Mike Larocca, is based on the 2009 novel of the same name written by Mark Greaney. Speaking of the action thriller Anthony Russo told Deadline, “The movie is a real mano a mano between those two great actors who represent two different versions of the CIA”.
Here's what we know about Aishwarya Sonar starring in The Gray Man:
-The Indian actor has previously worked as an assistant director and an actor in Marathi movies.
- Aishwarya Sonar has pursued a BA in Business Administration.
-She started acting when she took film classes while she was studying at UCLA.
-Before bagging her big Hollywood project, The Gray Man, the Indian actor has been part of international projects like The Shift, Nitishastra and Through Her Glasses.
-Sonar gained recognition for her performance Marathi film Kaay Re Rascalaa released in 2017 and produced by Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
- Besides featuring as an actor, Aishwarya Sonar has worked as an assistant director in the film Ventilator, a Marathi film released in 2016.
-Reportedly, Sonar has already filmed her part and she told TOI that “it was a delight to work with everyone”.
-While speaking about her experience of working on the project the actor said, “I was waiting for them to send me back home on the day I was on set. To be honest, I was prepared for the worst".
-Talking to a leading daily, Sonar said that she wasn’t expecting to land the role even after being shortlisted. “I didn’t make much of it cause the heart has been broken many times and I’ve learnt it the hard way – to audition and forget and move on,” she said.
-Other than Aishwarya Sonar, Indian actor Dhanush will also feature in the Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling starrer The Gray Man.
