Love You Forever: KK's daughter Taamara Posts Tribute Following His Untimely Death

KK's daughter Taamara posts a tribute to her father, widely known and loved Playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath. KK's untimely death took the nation by shock. KK who was 53 at the time of his death, collapsed shortly after performing at a concert in Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha on May 31, 2022. KK was rushed to a hospital in the city where he was declared dead. He is survived by his wife, Jyothi Krishna, and two children.

Following his death, tributes came in flooding from the music industry and his fans from all around the world. KK was the voice of a generation, hence his passing made the 90's kids feel like a part of their childhood was snatched away from them. They grieved his death as if it was a personal loss. KK is rightly known as the voice of youth, defining a part of our childhood, reminding us of the experiences and innocence of falling in love for the first time, our farewell, those carefree days spent listening to songs on our walkmans with our friends and more.

Vishal Dadlani, a popular Indian musician took to Twitter stating-“The tears won’t stop. What a guy he was. What a voice, what a heart, what a human being. #KK is FOREVER!!!” Singer Shreya Ghoshal wrote, “I am unable to wrap my head around this news. Numb. #KK Why! This is too hard to accept! Heart is shattered in pieces.”

KK's final journey commenced today as his body has been brought back to Mumbai. The singer will reportedly be put to rest today, on Thursday June 2, surrounded by his family friends, and colleagues from the Bollywood music industry. The funeral procession was led by his son, and the body is said to be cremated at Versova Hindu Crematorium. Taamara, KK's daughter, paid tribute to her father on her Instagram. Sharing the details of his final journey, she wrote- “Love you forever dad.”

KK's autopsy reports have also revealed that the singer had extensive and prolonged heart conditions and that he expressed feeling uneasy on the day of his last final performance. Other videos of him being rushed from the stage after he started seating profusely have also surfaced on the internet. Today we bid adieu to one of the most loved voices of the generation, the one that defined all our farewells and bittersweet endings with his voice. We hope he rests in peace as his voice continues to live on.
