All about Kirti Kulhari Saahil Sehgal split: Four More Shots Please! actor Kirti Kulhari and her husband, actor Saahil Sehgal, have decided to go separate ways. Kulhari on Thursday issued a statement on her Instagram profile, saying that she and her husband are separating after four of marriage "not on paper, but in life". She also revealed to those "who really care," that she's "in a good place" now and "will not be commenting further" on this matter. Kirti Kulhari and Saahil Sehgal got married in 2016.
"A simple note to let everyone know that my husband Saahil Sehgal and I have decided to separate. Not on paper, but in life. A decision that's probably harder than the decision of 'being with somebody,' because coming together is celebrated by everyone you love and care about," wrote the Pink actor in her post.
Here are five things to know about the split:
1. Kulhari, who is known for her impressive performances in Pink, Uri, Mission Mangal and the latest The Girl On The Train, has always kept her personal life out of the spotlight. She had earlier said that Sehgal also is a very private person. "He’s much more private than I am and so he doesn’t like me posting pictures."
2. Kirti Kulhari had last year spoken about the time she felt insecure that Sehgal was supposed to be in an intimate scene with Four More Shots co-star, Sayani Gupta, but eventually got over it. Talking about the same, the actor had revealed, “Initially in my marriage, I did feel insecure about his previous relationships, or when we would talk about women in general. I did have my own set of insecurities, and I wasn’t sure how this whole on-screen kissing or s*x scene would turn out to be since he’s also an actor."
3. She had also shared how marriage had shaped up her career in the "best possible way" and said that her in-laws “blindly” support her career decisions.
4. In an earlier interview with ETimes, Kulhari had opened up about not revealing to the media that she was married and said, "Even the media didn’t know for a while that I was married. And that’s primarily because I wasn’t big enough (star) for people to be interested in knowing whether I’m married or not. I got very well known post 'Pink' and I got married 3-4 months before ‘Pink’ released. And also, I’m somebody who would not reveal too much about my personal life."
5. Now, calling the decision to separate from her husband "harder", the 35-year-old actor said that the decision of "not being with somebody" is not "easy" but "it is what it is." She wrote, "And the decision of 'not being with somebody' brings along pain and hurt to the same people. It's not easy. Guess it's not meant to be easy but IT IS WHAT IT IS."
