Keanu Reeves Spills Tea On Upcoming John Wick Spinoff Ballerina

Keanu Reeves, who plays the lead in the next John Wick spinoff movie starring Ana de Armas, gave fans a sneak peek at what to anticipate at the Comic Con Experience 2022 in Brazil.

Ana de Armas will play the lead role in the John Wick spin-off Ballerina.  At the Comic Con Experience 2022 in So Paulo, Brazil, which is regarded as the largest pop culture event in the world and features panels ranging from films to video games, comics to TV shows, the actor shared some information about the upcoming John Wick movie, a spinoff titled Ballerina.

Keanu Reeves On John Wick

Ana de Armas plays the protagonist in the upcoming film Ballerina, which will also include Keanu Reeves as the Boogeyman. Reeves spoke about John Wick at the Comic-Con event and revealed some intriguing tidbits about the movie, adding that he was given the opportunity to be in it, so he appears in a couple of scenes.  The story is interesting, the script is excellent, and they are now filming, he said. He further stated that he was awaiting the film with great excitement.

According to a report by Collider, Reeves also disclosed what fans may anticipate from the new inclusion in the spinoff. Ana de Armas will portray a character "looking for revenge" and "has some very difficult circumstances," he added.

He further said, "Whoever killed her- someone killed her father. Who could that be?"  She is therefore on a journey to truly discover her past. She didn't fully understand what happened when her father died when she was a little child. Only that her tattooed father was killed by someone who broke into the house. And as known from John Wick, if you get a tattoo, something's going on, Keanu added in his final comment about the upcoming film.

The next instalment in the John Wick movie series, John Wick: Chapter 4, will hit theatres in 2023. The subsequent spinoff movie, Ballerina, is scheduled for release later this year, however, an official release date has not yet been announced.
