Karisma Kapoor birthday: Karisma Kapoor, who ruled the silver screen in the 90s, celebrated her 47th birthday with her younger sister Kareena Kapoor Khan and close friend Amrita Arora.
Sister and Jab We Met actor Kareena threw an intimate party for her on Thursday night. Karisma turned 47 this year.
In a picture shared on Instagram by Amrita Arora, the Kapoor sisters were seen posing with her and another friend. Amrita shared a photo with a birthday cake and wished a happy birthday to her friend. "May you always shine and be as lovely as a beautiful vintage wine," she wrote. Karisma dropped a heart emoji on the post.

Karisma, who made her Bollywood debut in 1991 with Prem Qaidi as a teenager, became one of the sought after names of 90s Bollywood and has worked with actors such as Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. She successfully starred in hits such as Coolie No 1, Raja Hindustani, Dil To Pagal Hai, Biwi No 1 and Hum Saath-Saath Hain. Her younger sister, Kareena, who also joined the film industry a few years later, said during an ">interview with Simi Garewal that Karisma has had a fair share of struggling days as a young actor in Bollywood.
Kareena said that she would watch her elder sister cry at nights and open up to their mother, actor Babita Kapoor.
On Kareena’s latest ">show What Women Want, the sisters discussed how they were each other’s inspiration. Kareena asked Karisma about who her role model was, and she answered, “Kareena is my inspiration. We’ve grown up being so close to each other. We inspire each other. Karisma was last seen on the big screen with the film Dangerous Ishhq film in 2012. The National Awardee made her digital debut last year with a web series titled Mentalhood, which gives a glimpse into the challenges of parenting in today’s day and age. She and entrepreneur Sunjay Kapur got divorced in 2016 after a 13-year-long marriage. The couple has two children — Samiera and Kiaan Raj.
