Kareena Kapoor COVID-19 Report And Karan Johar's Party:
The party was reportedly organised at Johar's house to celebrate the milestone of his film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum. A BMC official as per reports said, "When we say follow Covid-19 appropriate behaviour, it’s not just for the common man. It’s for everyone including the celebrities, and they need to practice self-discipline. It’s a collective responsibility." The city corporation conducted RT PCR tests for 108 people on December 14 and they all tested negative for the virus. The source quoted in media reports said, "These 108 include the people from the building of Kareena Kapoor, Amrita Arora, Seema Khan and Karan Johar, along with their house help and cleaners, among others. They all were the suspects hence test was done."
The authorities are currently following up with 37 high risk contacts and 145 close contacts were identified. Karan Johar had tested positive earlier this year with other members of his household and the authorities have not sealed his house like they did with Kareena Kapoor, Seema Khan and Amrita Arora. As per reports, fashion designer Manish Malhotra had also attended the event and he remains untraceable along with Saif Ali Khan who is also yet to be tested.
The filmmaker Karan Johar took to his social media handle on Wednesday and denied the reports which called his house party a 'COVID hotspot.' He wrote that only eight people has come to his house including Kareena Kapoor, Seema Khan, Amrita Arora and Maheep Kapoor.

Infact I tested twice just to be safe and am NEGATIVE...I truly appreciate the grandest efforts of the BMC to ensure the safety of our city...Salute to them to. "And my home which we maintain strict protocols in is certainly no "hotspot" of covid. All of us are responsible and masked at all times and NO one would treat this pandemic lightly...my request to certain members of the media is to exercise some restrains in their extreme reportage without the assessment of facts! Lots of love and safety to all. Karan Johar, "he added.
