Tanu weds Manu: Kangana Ranaut compared herself to late Bollywood star Sridevi while referring to her character in the film Tanu Weds Manu.
She took to Twitter to claim that she was "the first actor since Sridevi to do a comedy role in Hindi films."

She also thanked the film's director Aanand L Rai and writer Himanshu Sharma for making her career with both the Tanu Weds Manu films. One was released in 2011, which was followed by a sequel in 2015. Both the films became massive hits.

R Madhavan, Aanand L Rai Mark The 10th Anniversary of Tanu Weds Manu
Kangana Ranaut's co-star R Madhavan thanked her, Aanand, Viacom18 studios by refering to the film as a 'piece of history.'

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut was last seen in the film Panga. She will now be seen in Late Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa's biopic Thalaivi, and Dhaakad which will be released in April and October respectively. Recently, Ranaut revealed that she will be portraying India's late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in a film.
