Kangana Ranaut On Mimi Trailer: Kriti Sanon's upcoming film Mimi is in news for all the right reasons. Based on a National Award-winning Marathi film, this Laxman Utekar directorial touches on the subject of a surrogacy gone wrong. The trailer of Mimi which was unveiled this week garnered a positive response from viewers. Even actor Kangana Ranaut took notice of it and sent her wishes to Sanon for its release.
Reacting to the trailer of Mimi, Ranaut took to Instagram stories and wrote, “How amazing you look, all the best for #Mimi. The trailer looks amazing @kritisanon.”
The makers of the film Mimi also dropped their first song on Friday names Param Sundari which is composed by the music maestro AR Rahman. Param Sundari is a foot-tapping dance number, featuring the lead alongside actors Sai Tamhankar and Pankaj Tripathi who feature in key roles in the film.
Param Sundari has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal. Talking about the track the composer mentioned that the team wanted something fascinating and desi which would capitulate the lucidity of a small town and pure love that ties them together. " I think we found the right balance with this track. Enjoy Param Sundari,” the composer added.
About Mimi
The film follows the timeline of an aspiring actor who turns into a surrogate mother to make an easy livelihood. But the trailer suggests that her destiny has other plans for her. Apart from Kriti Sanon, Sai Tamhankar and Pankaj Tripathi, the film also features Supriya Pathak and Manoj Pahwa.
Mimi will mark third collaboration between Sanon and Tripathi, who were previously seen together in films Luka Chuppi and Bareilly Ki Barfi. Interestingly, Luka Chuppi was directed Utekar.
Mimi will start streaming from July 30 on Netflix and Jio Cinema.
