After an intimate picture of actor Jacqueline Fernandez with an alleged conman, Sukesh Chandrasekhar went viral on the internet, Fernandez requested the media for privacy in a statement released on Saturday.
She requested the media and her fans to not circulate the image which surfaced online. This is the second time that an image a picture of Sukesh Chandrasekhar and Jacqueline Fernandez has gone viral. The actor in her statement said that she is going through a rough patch and expects the media to respect her privacy.

In the Instagram post, the actor wrote, "The country and its people have always given me tremendous love and respect. This includes my friends from the media, from whom I have learnt a lot. I’m currently going through a rough patch but I’m sure that my friends and fans will see me through it. It is with this trust that I would request my media friends to not circulate images of a nature that intrude my privacy and personal space. You would not do this to your own loved ones, am sure you would not do this to me either. Hoping that justice and good sense prevails. Thank you." Fernandez also added a praying hands emoji in the end.

The alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar is accused of extorting Rs 200 crore from former ranbaxy promoter Shivinder Mohan's wife Aditi Sigh. Chandrasekhar has so far denied the allegation in a press statement issued through his lawyer. Chadrasekhar has claimed that he was in a relationship with Jacqueline Fernandez and that his personal life and no connection to the criminal case against him. The Enforcement Directorate on the other hand prepared a charge sheet against him in which they included the expensive gifts he gave Fernandez and how he met with her in a private jet and hotels when he was out on bail.
As per the chargesheet, Sukesh had revealed during an interrogation that he had given gifts worth crores to the Jacqueline Fernandez. He gave a horse worth ₹52 lakh and a Persian cat worth ₹9 lakh to the actor. In December 2021, Jacqueline Fernandez was stopped from flying out of India because of the money laundering case against Sukesh Chadrasekhar. She was called by the Enforcement Directorate for questioning in the case. Jacqueline was last seen in the movie Bhoot Police. Her upcoming movies include Attack and Bachchan Pandey, among others.
