Popular American feel-good series Ginny and Georgia might be coming out with season 2 this year. The much-loved series about a mother-daughter duo in search of stability and comfort developed a dedicated following with its first season, and thus fans cannot wait to know what life has in store for Ginny and her mom Georgia.

Just two months after its premiere in February last year, Ginny and Georgia was renewed for a season two. The show has been created by Sarah Lampert and produced by Claire Welland, the name behind the hit television show Orphan Black, and films like Resident Evil: Retribution, The Thing and Killjoys. As per Netflix, nearly 52 million people streamed the show within the first 28 days of its release.

What is Ginny and Georgia About

The show revolves around a free-spirited woman in her 30s who is raising two school-going children all by herself. Her 15-year-old daughter Ginny is mature and sorted, quite unlike Georgia, who is impulsive and emotional. While Ginny loves her mother, she doesn't approve of her lifestyle and decisions always. Georgia moves with her two kids to New England in order to give them a better life after a series of heartbreaks and shifting of bases to follow romantic possibilities.

But just when Georgia, her son Austin and Ginny are finally settling down, life throws another tricky situation their way, with the emergence of Georgia's old flame who could uproot the family.

Ginny And Georgia Season 2 Expected Release Date

Like season 1, Ginny and Georgia season 2 will be having 10 episodes too, each an hour long. Antonia Gentry is returning to the show as Ginny Miller, so are Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller and Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller.

The shooting of the new season began in November 2021 and hence, with the post-production work ahead, the show is expected to return somewhere around mid or late 2022. What we can tell you for sure is that the show is not arriving on Netflix in March. The streaming platform released its calendar for the coming month recently, and while it features shows like Bridgerton Season 2, Lies and Deceit and ">Pieces of Her, season 2 of Ginny and Georgia was not on it.
