The Flight Attendant And Other HBO Max Shows That Are Finally Coming To India

It is frustrating when you are looking forward to the release of a show, only to realise that it will be available on foreign sites or apps. However, in recent years, many shows like Mare of Easttown and Only Murders in the Building found their way to the Indian viewers via OTT, despite being released on platforms that were not accessible from India.

HBO Max is one such OTT platform that is not accessible in India, however, the OTT service will be providing 11 originals and 10 features to exclusively stream on Amazon Prime Video India around July and August. These HBO Max shows will include crime dramas, young adult shows along with superhero series among others. The cast of these upcoming shows is equally exciting- led by actors like Kaley Cuoco, John Cena, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and more.

The Flight Attendant

The Flight Attendant revolves around Cassie Bowden who wakes up next to a dead man in a hotel room but has no memory of the preceding events. The 2020 series is based on a novel by the same name written by Chris Bohjalian. The series features actors like Kaley Cuoco, Zosia Mamet, Michelle Gomez, Griffin Matthews and Rosie Perez among others. Executives behind the show said that Cuoco will feature in the show's third season as well.

Peacemaker

This series is based on DC Comics' superhero character by the same name. It serves as the first DC Extended Universe TV series and is a spin-off of 2021 film The Suicide Squad, set after the events of the movie. The series follows the story of jingoistic killer Christopher Smith/Peacemaker played by John Cena and also features Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Alison Araya, Robert Patrick, Danielle Brooks and others.

And Just Like That...

Comedy-drama series And Just Like That... is an extension of cult classic series Sex and the City as its revival and sequel. The series is set 11 years after the events of 2010 film Sex and the City 2. Actors Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson, Evan Handler and Chris Noth reprise their roles with Sara Ramirez and Sarita Choudhury as the new additions to the cast. The series And Just Like That... was renewed for a second season in March 2022 despite receiving mixed reviews.

The Sex Lives of College Girls

Created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, this show follows the lives of four freshmen roommates in the fictional Essex College of Vermont as they attempt to have an active sex life while dealing with the scholastic demands of the institution. The teen comedy drama series debuted in November 2021 and was renewed for a second season in December 2021. It stars Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Renee Rap, Alyah Chanelle Scott and Gavin Leatherwood in key roles.

Raised By Wolves

Sci-Fi drama series Raised By Wolves follows two androids who are tasked with raising human children on a new planet after Earth has been destroyed following a gruesome war. But the androids soon realise that it can be difficult to manage humans as the human colony appears to be falling apart due to religious differences. The show premiered in September 2020 and was renewed for a second season soon after its release. However, the show stood cancelled after two seasons in June 2022.
