Gullak Season 3 Release Date: When Will The Mishras Return?

Wondering Gullak Season 3 release date? The middle-class Mishra family and their day-to-day challenges are the focus of this series, which is set in a small town in North India. The streaming platform stated that the series would be renewed for a third season, and fans have been eagerly awaiting its release date.

The Viral Fever produced Gullak, a web series made by Shreyansh Pandey for the streaming service SonyLIV. The series follows the Mishra family, which includes Santosh and Shanti Mishra and their kids, Anand "Annu" Mishra and Aman Mishra, and stars Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, and Harsh Mayar as the key characters, with Sunita Rajwar as their neighbour. Each season contained five episodes.

The first season premiered on the in 2019, The show starts with a clay piggy bank, that is the narrator (voiceover by Shivankit Singh Parihar) of the story explaining, “Gullak is not a story but a series of anecdotes.” The series follows the Mishra family through various incidents throughout their lives.

Shanti (Geetanjali Kulkarni), the mother, rarely speaks without screaming. Santosh (Jameel Khan), her supportive and forgiving husband, works for the local power division. Their older son, Annu (Vaibhav Raj Gupta), who is concerned about the family's future, is studying for Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exams, and his younger brother, Aman (Harsh Mayar).

The show was renewed for a second season, and was directed by Palash Vaswani, the primary writer was Durgesh Singh, and the soundtrack was composed by Anurag Saikia and Simran Hora.

In 2021, the second season premiered. The eldest son, Annu, is struggling with his profession, especially after failing the SSC exam, while the younger son, Aman, is studying for his board examinations in the second season. Together, they form an outline of India's middle-class households.

Gullak Season 3 Release Date

On February 27, the streaming platform announced that the series had been renewed for a third season. A scene from an upcoming episode is shown in the one-minute ">teaser. The Mishras' parents are completely concerned with flipping chappals. Shanti Mishra blames the slippers for everything that has gone wrong  in the past two months. She also advises that they contact the priest, but Santosh Mishra objects because it would be an unnecessary expense.

The two-minute official trailer that was released today, March 22, on the streaming platform, depicts the same level of humour and drama, but with different obstacles and all centred around a middle-class family. In season three's trailer, the Mishras are trying to keep the household surviving, but things change when the family's oldest son gets a job paying Rs. 17,000 per month. All of a sudden, he becomes an important member of the family. The family has a second source of income, but things quickly deteriorate when the father, Santosh Mishra, loses his job due to office politics. The trailer also reveals the third season will release on April 7, 2022 on Sony LIV.
