10 Things To Know About The FRIENDS Reunion Trailer

FRIENDS reunion episode trailer out now : The special episode trailer of the popular sitcom FRIENDS was released last night. The trailer showcases reunion of lead actors Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, who are joined by several guest stars for the occassion. Fans of the show have waited for a decade and a half, after the show wrapped up, for these six actors to share the screen together again.

While the special reunion episode was planned to be filmed and shot in March 2020 with a live audience, the pandemic heavily delayed the filming and TV production. A year later, the special episode is now ready and a trailer has been released and has spiked the buzz around the special episode that is slated for a May 27 release.

Here are ten things to know about the trailer of this much awaited FRIENDS reuinion: 

• HBO Max released the trailer of FRIENDS reunion episode on May 19. Many guest stars were seen in the trailer and the original cast recreated several memorable moments from the show's 10 seasons.
• In the reunion episode, the original cast will not be seen as their on-screen characters. The actors have appeared as themselves and instead give insight about their characters and working on the show.
• Sitting at the usual hangout spot in Monica’s living room, the cast did a quiz related to specific facts of the show. David Schwimmer, who played the paleontologist Ross Geller in the sitcom, hosted the quiz, reminiscent of the quiz the characters took in episode 12 of season 4, titled "The One with the Embryo".
• “Does Courteney still have her lines on the table?” said Matt LeBlanc in one clip from the table and revealed that Monica had a little trick up her sleeve during filming days.
• The cast of FRIENDS revisited special places like the fountain that they danced in during the iconic opening song of the show, the famous Central Perk coffee house, Monica’s living room, and Joey and Chandler's apartment.
• A show of some remarkable costumes that were worn in the series was also featured. One costume that was focused on was Ross’ Holiday Armadillo costume that he wore for his son, Ben in episode 10, season 7, titled "The One with the Holiday Armadillo".
• The much-awaited trailer also featured some of its best known supporting cast- Tom Selleck who played Monica’s  boyfriend Richard and Maggie Wheeler who played Janice, who is Chandler’s former girlfriend. Wheeler also recreated her famous "Oh my God!" line as Janice.
• Lisa Kudrow also recreated her famous “Oh! My eyes! My eyes!” reaction when her character Phoebe found out about Monica and Chandler’s affair.
• The question with no answer, “Were Ross and Rachel on a break?” came up on the reunion trailer too. While this has been a question that many viewers of the show also debate on, the cast seemed to agree by now that Ross and Rachel were on a break. But we see Matt LeBlanc screaming out his disagreement which left the cast laughing.
• The FRIENDS reunion trailer showed things that took the cast and all the viewers back in time. The special episode is set to be aired on May 27 on HBO Max. Read how you can watch the episode here.
