Social media influencer Freddy Birdy has been trending these past few days for all the wrong reasons. Targetting actor Deepika Padukone, Birdy had commented that her "clothes will get tinier" as Gehraiyaan release gets closer. His comment irked many who found his statement sexist and deeply problematic.

This one comment by Birdy broke broken the internet and suddenly people are inquisitive about who he is and where is the comment coming from. For people who follow his account and art, this comment comes from an unexpected place. Birdy is not known to target women for what they wear. How does it matter if the clothes become tinier or longer, it is Padukone's choice, after all.

However, when Padukone shared a post on some people being "morons" without tagging Birdy, the influencer felt compelled to respond and also tagged Karan Johar, the producer of Gehraiyaan. He wrote, "Dear Deepika, I'm not 'mocking you' for wearing tiny clothes. You can wear your hemlines till your toes or your ears. For all I care. And thank you for calling me a moron. It's the only non-fake thing you've uttered in your entire career. Love Fred."
