83 Trailer Released: The much-awaited trailer of the film 83 is out. The film revolves around former Indian team captain Kapil Dev and his team’s historic victory in the world cup match of 1983. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film gives a glimpse of the historical moment.

Here are 10 things to know about the trailer of the film 83.

1. The trailer was released on 30 November from the official YouTube channel of Reliance Entertainment
2. The trailer has got 308,000 views and 8832 comments so far.
3. The trailer begins with wide shots of the team playing and disappointing the fans. Going by the first few scenes, it seemed difficult to believe that India could lift the trophy.
4. Ranveer Singh can be seen portraying Kapil Dev's character while Deepika Padukone plays the role of his wife Romi Dev. She supports him off the field.
5. The trailer also showed the rivalry between the West Indies team and that of India’s.
6. The star cast includes Jiiva, Tahir Raj Bhavan, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Pankaj Tripathi amongst others.
7. As per the trailer, the movie is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24.
8. It will release in multiple languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
9. Pankaj Tripathi, who plays the then-manager of the team PR Man Singh, tells Kapil, “35 saal pehle hum log aazaadi jeete, magar izzat jeetna baaki hai, kaptaan (We won independence 35 years ago but we are yet to win respect, captain).”
