Watch Out For These Female Actors In Upcoming Action-Packed Roles

We're seeing a major shift in filmmaking in the Hindi film industry with female actors helming films across genres. As women are now picking significant roles and solely leading films at the box office, there seems to be a welcoming, much-needed, change in how we perceive female characters in cinema.

Male actors are not solely entitled to the action-thriller genre anymore. With several upcoming films including Code Name: Tiranga and Pathan, female actors will now be seen in full-fledged action-packed avatars on screen. As some much-anticipated action films are on the verge of release, we bring to you five female actors who will be seen gracing the big screen in action-packed roles.

Female Actors Action-Packed Roles

Parineeti Chopra in Code Name: Tiranga

Chopra is all set to play the role of a RAW agent in the film who will be seen engaging in multiple action sequences. The film uncovers the story of a spy who travels across borders on a mission for her nation's security. The recently released trailer of the film gave a peak into some great action scenes being performed by Chopra. She stars opposite actor Harrdy Sandhu in the film.

Code Name: Tiranga will release in theatres on October 14.

Deepika Padukone In Pathan 

While Padukone has shown great versatility across genres in her career span of fifteen years, a complete action-packed character is something that she will embrace with Pathan. The actor took to social media to share her first look from the film, in which she shares screen space with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham.

Pathan has a theatrical release reserved for next year. It will be out on January 25, 2023.

Katrina Kaif in Tiger Zinda Hai 3

Kaif's role as Zoya Humaini has been widely appreciated ever since she first featured in the first instalment of the franchise. Playing an ISI agent, Kaif has been a thorough action sequence performer in both films. Reprising her role, she will be seen in Tiger 3 alongside Salman Khan. In the teaser announcement shared earlier, Kaif was caught performing a fight scene, which was a glimpse into the major action-packed role that she will be playing.

Tiger Zinda Hai will return for its third instalment on April 23, 2023.

Disha Patani in Yodha 

Patani, who has appeared in several action thriller films, has been vocally expressive about her love for action and martial arts. Known to be performing her stunts, she performed a major action sequence in the film Malang. She will now be acting opposite Sidharth Malhotra in a fierce role for the upcoming film Yodha, which is set against the backdrop of an aeroplane hijack.

The theatrical release of Yodha is November 11, 2022.

Kriti Sanon in Ganapath

Having been a part of several action films, Kriti Sanon has played diverse roles in all but never a complete action-based role. With Ganapath, opposite Tiger Shroff, Sanon will be seen in a different avatar as someone who rides bikes and performs action scenes solely.

Ganapath will release in theatres on December 23, 2022.
