Farhan Akhtar-Shibani Dandekar Wedding: Who Has Arrived, Who Is Expected

Guests have started arriving at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi's farmhouse in Khandala today where actor Farhan Akhtar and singer Shibani Dandekar will be exchanging their wedding vows. The theme for dressing is reportedly pastel or white coloured comfortable clothing.

Recently, bride Shibani Dandekar shared her first ever post, which is also being seen as a kind of official confirmation from the singer, about their wedding today. Dandekar has shared picture of a pair of red heels and captioned it as, "Let's do this."

Akhtar and Dandekar have been dating for nearly four years now. the filmmaker's parents Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani had confirmed the news about his wedding, also adding that it is going to be an intimate affair involving friends and family.

Going by images shared by the paparazzi online, the bride's sister Anusha Dandekar has arrived at the venue dressed in a breezy floral lehenga accessorised with a choker. Ritesh Sidhwani, who runs Excel Entertainment alongside Farhan Akhtar arrived in a bow-tie attire. Actor Hritik Roshan along with his parents Rakesh Roshan and Pinkie Roshan has also arrived and so has Amrita Arora. The other guests include Ashutosh Gowariker and his wife.

According to an India Today report, the expected guests at the wedding include Samir Kochar, Rhea Chakraborty, Gaurav Kapoor, Monica Dogra, amongst others.

The couple will be exchanging wedding vows rather than going for a traditional wedding. This is while keeping in mind their different religion and beliefs.

A source said, "The family has been extremely discreet about this wedding as they don't want the media to turn up at the venue. It is still unclear how things are planned, as everything is under wraps."

The ceremony is expected to take place in daytime today. The couple has been in a relationship for the past four years and will register their marriage at a court in Bandra on February 21. Reportedly, the same day evening they will be having a reception ceremony for their friends and colleagues in the film industry.

Akhtar met Dandekar at the sets of a television show titled I Can Do That. Akhtar was the host there while Dandekar was the participant along with Gauhar Khan, Mandira Bedi, amongst others.

Later, Dandekar had posted a picture of a "mystery man" on her Instagram feed and subsequently, the couple made their first public appearance at the wedding reception of actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
