Actors Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi are appearing together on screen this October surfacing the issue of body shaming in a social comedy steered by director Satramm Ramani, and written by Mudassar Aziz. In a world of superficial standards and unrealistic expectations, this upcoming film starring Sinha and Qureshi feels like a significant shift in cinema.
As a social comedy, the Double XL teaser featuring Sinha and Qureshi certainly seems like a refreshing take on breaking stereotypes and showcasing how people tackle fat-shaming. The film will hit the theatres on October 14, 2022.

Double XL Teaser
Actors Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi took to their social media to share the film's teaser, and captioned it writing, "From fries to fun...all good things come in life come in DoubleXL sizes."
The teaser shows Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi sitting on a bench and having a heart-to-heart conversation about their experiences with fat shaming. Tackling the issue of body weight and women's fight against the people who shame, the film's poster also describes the comedy as a story of friendships, dreams and fun. The film also features actors Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghavendra opposite Sinha and Qureshi. The 30-second teaser sure gives a glimpse into the two actors' chemistry and their bonding over prejudices they face in their respective lives.
The film will explore the dynamics between two plus-sized women, Rajshree Trivedi (played by Qureshi) and Saira Khanna (played by Sinha) as they together navigate unrealistic beauty standards the society has set for women. Qureshi is also a co-producer of the film alongside her brother and actor Saqib Saleem. Qureshi, in an interview with PTI earlier this year, described the film as both important and entertaining. "I believe that social change happens through fun, commercial, and family entertainer films."
All set to release this October, the Double XL is produced by T Series, Vipul D Shah, Rajesh Bahl and Ashwin Varde Mudassar Aziz, Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem. Milind Jog is the cinematographer for the film, and the dialogues are penned by Mudassar Aziz.
