Bill Gates Would 'Visit Nude Nightclubs, Hire Strippers' During Bachelor Days: Report

Shocking revelations about Bill Gates wild parties as bachelor come to light: Amidst the news of his divorce, reports have emerged claiming that Bill Gates held parties with strippers in his bachelor days. The Microsoft co-founder's biographer James Wallace revealed that Gates wasn't just a "computer nerd" back in the day. The author of two books on Bill Gates opened up about his subject's bachelor life during the 80s and 90s before he married Melinda French Gates, an American philanthropist and a former general manager at Microsoft, in 1994. The couple announced their divorce on May 4.

In an interview with UK's Daily Mail, 74-year-old Wallace said that it would be wrong to believe that Gates was a "choir boy" in his early days as a tech founder. The former journalist went on to reveal that most of the Microsoft employees were young guys back then who would go on working for two or three days straight on software code. "Then they would have some pretty wild parties," he further added.

According to Wallace, the Microsoft chairman would throw parties in his Seattle home, for which Gates would visit one of the city's all-nude nightclubs and "hire dancers to come to his home and swim naked with his friends in his indoor pool.".

In his book, Wallace also alleged that Gates' "womanising" nature had almost cost him his relationship with Melinda in the earlier years. He went on to claim that when they started dating in 1988, he continued to see other women, especially when he was out of town on business. He also wrote about how Gates would flirt with female journalists who covered Microsoft.

In his second book Overdrive: Bill Gates and the Race to Control Cyberspace, Wallace also described the alleged naked parties at Gates' Washington home. According to the former Seattle Post-Intelligencer investigative reporter, the media rather focused on Gates' technology and business-related stories and left out the reporting on the wild bachelor parties.

He added how at one point, Bill and Melinda broke up for nearly a year, reportedly because he refused to make any kind of commitment. However, when they got back together again in 1992, their relationship grew closer and stronger. He and wife Melinda decided to end their marriage earlier this month. The couple has three children – 25-year-old Jennifer, 21-year-old Rory, and the youngest child Phoebe who is 18. While Bill and Melinda never revealed any specific reason behind their split, the names of Ann Winblad, Bill Gates’ ex-girlfriend, his Chinese interpreter Zhe Shelly Wang, too have come under the spotlight this week.
