As the Taapsee Pannu starrer Haseen Dillruba gears up for its release, a new song from the film ‘Dil Melt Karda’ has been released today. The song captures Rani, played by Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Masseys' Rishabh in their pre-wedding bliss.
The Haseen Dillruba song has already surpassed 100k views in an hour. ‘Dil Melt Karda’ has been sung by Navraj Hans and Nikhita Gandhi. The track is composed by Amit Trivedi while the lyrics are written by Varun Grover.
Directed by Vinil Mathew, Haseen Dillruba will start streaming on Netflix from July 2.
In the upcoming murder mystery thriller, actor Taapsee Pannu will be seen on-screen alongside Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane. In this film written by Kanika Dhillon and produced by Aanand L Rai, Pannu plays the character of a woman who is a ‘self-obsessed borderline narcissist’. Pannu also said that she wants the audience to expect something that is out of the box and is completely new with the film. Read more on that here.
While the murder mystery thriller was initially scheduled to have a theatrical release back in September 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the makers to opt for a digital released as cinemas remain closed in major parts of the country.
Yesterday, Haseen Dillruba's writer Kanika Dhillon slammed screenwriter Navjot Gulati for his "sexist" and "misogynistic" remarks on female movie writers. On the day that Haseen Dillruba's trailer had released, Gulati tweeted, "If you want top billing as a Screenwriter in a trailer(something that should be the norm)You need to marry into the production house. Once the Writer becomes a family member, is treated like an Actor-Star."
While Gulati didn't name anyone directly, the timing of his tweet nd the fact that Dhillon's name features prominently in the trailer credits of the film, hinted that the tweet was directed at her. Read more on the controversy here.
