Dial 100 release date and time: The much-awaited thriller drama Dial 100, featuring actors Manoj Bajpayee and Neena Gupta in the lead, is releasing on Friday, August 6. The film also features popular television actor Sakshi Tanwar in a key role.

What's the film about?
If the trailer of the film is anything to go by, Bajpayee plays the role of an emergency call operator in this thriller. His character Nikhil Sood is having a regular day at work, untill one of his colleagues dispatches him an anonymous call that leaves him disturbed. The anonymous caller warns him that she has purchased a gun and intends to use it the very night, sending Sood into action. what he doesn't know is that the threat intends to strike close home.
We next see Gupta, who is seeking revenge for her son’s death, appear at the front door of Sood's apartment. Seema kidnaps his wife Pallavi (Tanwar, who became a household name after featuring in daily soaps) and his son. Gupta’s character has lost her child and she believes the cop is somehow responsible for her personal tragedy.
Several viewers of the trailer have pointed out online that the film's plot is quite similar to Halle Berry’s 2013 physiological thriller The Call. The official description of the film reads: One night, one call, can change your lives. Expect the unexpected with Dial 100.
Cast of Dial 100
The crime thriller film directed by Rensil D’Silva, features Manoj Bajpayee, Neena Gupta and Sakshi Tanwar in prominent roles. D’Silva recently revealed when he visited the Mumbai Police Control Room to understand how they function, it was an eye-opener for him. The cops, according to D’Silva, answer distressing calls every 10 minutes, with complaints ranging from domestic abuse to suicide, he told Mid-Day.

On sharing the screen space with Gupta and Bajpayee, an elated Tanwar told Indian Express that she couldn’t have asked for more. Meanwhile, Bajpayee called Dial 100 "a well written, more than just a thriller." According to him, the film is also talking about a middle-class guy who is not a good father or a good husband and is very reluctant when it is about caring for his family. "It tells the story which growing up children and their parents are facing in today’s society. It has stuff which will not leave you easily after the film is over,” he said.
