Dia Mirza Celebrates Stepdaughter Samaira Rekhi's Birthday

Actor Dia Mirza celebrated the 12th birthday of her stepdaughter Samaira Rekhi on Wednesday.

Her husband Vaibhav Rekhi and his ex-wife Sunaina Rekhi were a part of their daughter's birthday celebrations. Sunaina even shared a video of the same on Instagram. The video shows her daughter Samaira blowing the candles and cutting the birthday cake, while they sing the birthday song along with Samaira's friends. Dia Mirza was busy recording the moment on camera.

The actor has been seen bonding with her stepdaughter Samaira Rekhi. This was first evident when Samaira was invited to walk down the aisle with Dia during the latter's wedding with Vaibhav Rekhi. Samaira was seen holding a placard that read "Papa’s Girls" while walking down the aisle. Samaira Rekhi was also on a vacation to the Maldives along with her stepmother and father. Dia Mirza had shared pictures with her on Instagram.

Samaira's 12th birthday comes just a week after Dia Mirza announced her pregnancy on social media. She shared a photo of herself in a red dress while cradling her baby bump on Instagram. The photo was clicked by her husband.

Many trolls on the internet questioned the time when she got pregnant. Dia Mirza shut down trolls by giving them a befitting reply. She said that she and Vaibhav never got together because of the pregnancy. "Firstly, we didn’t marry because we were having a baby together. We were already marrying as we wanted to spend our lives together. We discovered we were going to have a baby while we were planning our wedding. So this marriage is not the result of pregnancy. We didn’t announce the pregnancy until we knew its safe (medical reasons)," she said.

Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi got married in February this year.
