Delhi Crime, a well-liked crime drama series, is back for a second season, which will soon be available on the OTT platform. The show made its debut two years ago and was shortly renewed. The long wait is finally over, and the show will be released in a few days. Here's everything we know about Season 2 and its release schedule.

Delhi Crime season one saw a successful release with Shefali Shah as the protagonist and Rasika Duggal and Rajesh Tailang providing support. Delhi, the capital of India, is featured as the backdrop and the first season, which made its Netflix debut in 2020, fictionalised the case of the 2012 gang rape. The show won the Outstanding Drama Series award in 2020, making history as the first and only Indian television programme to ever win an International Emmy.

Delhi Crime Season 2 Plot:

The second season's trailer teased the return of DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, also known as 'Madam Sir,' and her solid team. This time, they are kept on their toes by a string of horrifying killings in Delhi. The 'kaccha-baniya'" gang, which consists of criminals who carry out thefts and murders by putting oil on their bodies, is the theme of their investigation. Madam Sir is forced to make some difficult decisions as public anxiety grows and the media demands responses.

Delhi Crime Season 2 Cast:

The season 2 cast will include Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain, Anurag Arora, Aakash Dahiya, Sidharth Bhardwaj, Gopal Dutt, Danish Husain, and Yashaswini Dayama.

Shefali Shah, Rajesh Tailang, and Rasika Dugal, stars of the show's cast, are currently seen promoting their show. During a recent interaction, Shah highlighted the primary difference between the two seasons. According to her, the second season of the show is a "fictionalised version of a true crime." When asked what the main difference between seasons one and two was, she responded, "I guess the difference is that over there, there was a crime, and these characters came into the picture. There is a crime over here, and the characters are here, increasing the involvement of the characters even further. They are now more than simply police officers; they are also humans. All of it and more are there."

Shah added in the interview that the show's essential elements wouldn't change. She said, "Since Delhi crime is procedural, its fundamental nature won't change. It's gritty, honest, and raw. It's not dramatic, and it's not meant to sensationalise a situation or an event." She added that the characters are so compelling and deeply ingrained that everything that occurs is their response to the events taking place around them.

Delhi Crime 2 Release Time:

Delhi Crime 2 will be released on August 26 on Netflix. As Netflix original shows and movies are typically released globally at 12:00 a.m. Delhi Crime Season 2 will be released at midnight as well.
