2023 is a big year for India at the 95th Academy Awards, as we have three big nominations. RRR’s Naatu Naatu, which recently won the Golden Globe for "best original song," is nominated in the same category at the Oscars.
The documentaries All That Breathes and The Elephant Whisperers, which also won Golden Globes, have been nominated for Oscars.

The Oscars unveiled the first slate of presenters and revealed that Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone is set to present at the prestigious Academy Awards. She’s joining the list of bigwigs, which includes Emily Blunt, Riz Ahmed, Glenn Close, Jennifer Connelly, Ariana Debose, Dwayne Johnson, Melissa McCarthy, and Janelle Monae, among others.
Twitteratis cannot contain their excitement and have taken to their social media handles to celebrate the moment. A user quipped, "It’s Deepika Padukone’s world, and we are just living in it."
However, this is not the first time Deepika Padukone has been associated with an international event. Last year, the Pathaan actor unveiled the FIFA World Cup 2022 trophy along with Iker Casillas.
2022 was a fantastic year for Padukone. She attended Paris Fashion Week and was also a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival last year. Padukone also made a chic appearance at the Louis Vuitton 2023 Cruise show last year. Over the past few years, she had been regularly attending the Met Gala event.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone, who is relishing the success of her latest release, Pathaan, alongside Shah Rukh Khan, has a busy year ahead. She is currently working on Project K with Telugu actor Prabhas, Fighter alongside Hrithik Roshan, and is also making a cameo in SRK’s next movie, Jawan.
