Deepika Padukone lifestyle brand: Model-turned-actor Deepika Padukone is adding another feather to her cap. She announced that she will be launching her lifestyle brand in 2022., with the release of a beauty and skin care products line up. Padukone is yet to reveal the name of the brand.

In a press release Deepika Padukone shared on her Instagram handle on Wednesday, Sep 8, she revealed that her lifestyle brand "that is rooted in India but will have indispensable global reach and appeal." The press release also stated that the first category of launch will focus on beauty and skin care. While originating in India, the category will be "backed by science."
To quote the Piku actor, "India, I believe, has always been positioned uniquely." She continued that while we have tremendous access to the rest of the world, as a country we are rich in values, culture and heritage. This is something we are extremely proud of. Therefore, Padukone intends to build a brand that will have a global reach while being rooted in India.
The press release recognised Padukone as one of the most admired and acclaimed actors in the world. In recent times, the actor has emerged as one of the most influential voices amongst the global audiences and consumers, which reflects in the fact that Padukone enjoys an enormous digital footprint of more than 100 million users.
Deepika Padukone was recently in news when reports emerged suggesting that she had walked out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Baiju Bawra due to pay disparity. Sources claimed that Padukone had demanded to be paid the same amount of money as her husband, Ranveer Singh which the makers couldn't pull off. This was not the first time Padukone rose her voice against the pay disparity in Bollywood. She has always demanded and received the same payment as her male counterparts. "But, this time in Baiju Bawra, Bhansali has regretfully turned down her request for pay parity," a source said.
