Cricketer Deepak Chahar Pops The Question To Girlfriend After IPL Match, She Says Yes

Deepak Chahar Girlfriend: The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost the Indian Premier League match to Punjab Kings on Thursday but CSK's Deepak Chahar made sure that post-match festivities are not just for the Punjab Kings. He proposed to his girlfriend Jaya Bharadwaj on the field and she said yes.

Right after the match between CSK and Punjab Kings concluded in Dubai, Chahar went down on his knees and popped the question. Chahar posted the pictures from the proposal on his social media account and wrote, "Picture says it all. Need all your blessings #taken."

As per media reports, the cricketer is expected to tie the know with Bharadwaj after returning home. The video of the proposal has now gone viral on social media. In the video, Chahar is seen making way for himself to stand beside his girlfriend before he bends his knee. Mahendra Singh Dhoni's daughter Ziva and other family members of the CSK team are also seen in the video. After getting the approval, Chahar is seen putting the ring on Bharadwaj's finger and hugging her.

As for the match, CSK was defeated by Punjab Kings. The winning team limited CSK to 134 runs for six runs despite the performance by Faf du Plessis. While du Plessis scored 76 runs off 55 balls. No CSK player other than du Plessis crossed the 15-run mark.

KL Rahul on the other hand scored 98 runs out of 42 balls and remained not-out. His performance helped Punjab Kings to hold on to the victory against CSK by six wickets. The winning team chased the 135 runs and were able to make it in 13 overs. Shardul Thakur took three wickets for 28 runs in three overs becoming CSK's best bowler on Thursday. Deepak Chahar scored 1/48 from 4 overs.
