Dasvi Release Time, Date, Plot, Cast And Everything You Should Know

Dasvi, a social comedy starring Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam, and Nimrat Kaur, is set to hit screens shortly. Ritesh Shah, Suresh Nair, and Sandeep Leyzell, as well as Kumar Vishwas, a former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and poet, wrote the screenplay, which was directed by Tushar Jalota.

Over the years, some directors have attempted to develop comedic drama films with a social message. The most recent film is Dasvi, a social comedy set in a community with a unique take on the right to education. It's being presented by Maddock Films, and it's a collaboration between producer Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios. Mimi, another comedy genre film with a social message released in 2021, was the first collaboration between the two.

Dasvi Movie Plot:

Dasvi narrates the story of Gangaram Choudhary, a politician and chief minister (CM) whose reputation has been tarnished by a series of local events. After being found guilty of corruption, the former chief minister was sentenced to prison. Gangaram has barely completed eighth grade and is having problems in prison, so he decides to take the "tenth" exam while incarcerated and under the careful eye of a tough cop.

Dasvi Movie Cast:

Abhishek Bachchan plays Ganga Ram Chaudhary, a politician and former Chief Minister. Yami Gautam portrays IPS Officer Jyoti Deswal, a tough officer, while Nimrat Kaur portrays CM Bimla Devi, the smart wife of a previous CM and politician. The supporting cast will be led by Arun Kushwah and Manu Rishi.

The teaser and trailer for the film, which is set to be released soon, have already been revealed, offering fans a new look at the actors. From his accents to his appearances, Bachchan portrays a Jat politician in every way. He also said that he had to learn the Haryanvi dialect for the film. While, Gautam will be portraying a cop for the first time in this film.

Dasvi Release Time And Date:

The film will be available to watch online. Although this is the first time all of the actors have worked together, the OTT platform is already familiar with all of them, as this is Bachchan's fifth OTT film in a row. His other online works include Breathe, Ludo, Sons of Soil, and The Big Bull. This is Gautam's third OTT release, following Ginny Weds Sunny (2020), Bhoot Police (2021), and A Thursday (2022), while Kaur will also return to the OTT with Dasvi, following her performance in The Test Case (2017).

On April 7, 2022, Netflix India and Jio Cinema will release Dasvi. Dasvi will be accessible to view on Netflix after 12 a.m.
