Dasvi Release Date And Time: Here's Everything You Should Know

Dasvi is a forthcoming social comedy film starring Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam, and Nimrat Kaur is slated to release soon. If you're interested in watching the film and have plans to do so, keep reading to find out its release schedule.

Several directors have made an effort to make comic drama films with a social message over the years. Dasvi is the most recent film, and it's a social comedy set in a community with a distinct perspective on the right to education. Maddock Films is presenting it, and it's a cooperation between producer Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios. The two previously worked together on Mimi, another comedic genre film with a social message that was released in 2021. Tushar Jalota directed the film, which was written by Ritesh Shah, Suresh Nair, and Sandeep Leyzell, as well as Kumar Vishwas, a former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and poet.

Dasvi Plot:

Dasvi tells the narrative of Gangaram Choudhary, a politician and chief minister (CM) whose name has been tainted by a series of local incidents. The former chief minister was then convicted of corruption and condemned to prison. Gangaram has barely passed eighth grade and is having trouble in prison, so he resolves to continue giving the "tenth" exam while imprisoned and under the watchful eye of a tough cop.

Dasvi Cast:

Abhishek Bachchan plays Ganga Ram Chaudhary, a politician and former Chief Minister. IPS Officer Jyoti Deswal is played by Yami Gautam, who is a tough officer, and CM Bimla Devi is played by Nimrat Kaur, who is the clever wife of a former CM and politician. Arun Kushwah and Manu Rishi will lead the supporting cast.

Since the film is set to be released shortly, the teaser and trailer have already been released, giving fans a new look at these performers. From their accents to their appearances, Bachchan is shown playing a Jat politician (Jats are a community in Haryana and other states in North India). He also claimed that for the film, he had to learn the Haryanvi dialect. On the other hand, Gautam will be portraying a cop for the first time in this film.

The team is currently busy in films promotions, hence the team including all the lead co-stars as well as director Tushar Jalota, held an exclusive screening for 2,000 inmates in Agra Central Jail last month as while wrapping the shoot for Dasvi in Agra Central Jail last year, actor Abhishek Bachchan promised to hold an exclusive screening for the inmates. Bachchan's mother, Jaya Bachchan, also hosted a screening of his new film in Mumbai on April 1st. Her colleagues in the legislature were invited to attend the special screening.

Dasvi Release Date And Time:

The film is slated to be released online. Although all the actors have been working together for the first time, the OTT platform is already acquainted with all of these actors as this is Bachchan's fifth OTT film in a row. Breathe, Ludo, Sons of Soil, and The Big Bull are among his other online releases. Following Ginny Weds Sunny (2020), Bhoot Police (2021), and A Thursday (2022), this is Gautam's third OTT release, while, following her appearance in The Test Case (2017), Kaur will also return to the OTT with Dasvi.

Dasvi will be released on Netflix India and Jio Cinema on April 7, 2022.
