Sonakshi Sinha has been taking up some exciting projects lately. The actor made a lasting impact in her role as a plus-sized woman in her movie Double XL. Sinha was earlier announced as the lead for Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar's crime mystery series Dahaad and the audience has been waiting for the series' release ever since. After becoming the first-ever Indian series to premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival, the series is all set to release for the Indian audience on Amazon Prime. The makers released the trailer for the show and it is really exciting.

Dahaad Trailer Released

The ">trailer shows a local police station where Officer Anjali Bhaati is posted. The police come across a complicated case of 27 missing women and one by one, all of them are found dead. These women killed themselves but Bhaati strongly thinks it is a serial murder case and the culprit in all the cases is a single person. Identified as a middle-aged married man with a child, the culprit is hard to find and even harder to be proven guilty. Despite all odds and suspicion of her abilities, Bhaati decides that she will deliver justice to all the women and bring this man behind bars.

The series stars Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role of Anjali Bhaati who sets on a journey to solve a vicious serial murder case. The cast also includes Gulshan Devaiah as Bhaati's colleague and another police officer investigating the case and Vijay Varma as a seemingly innocent teacher in town who is a prime suspect as per Bhaati's initial investigation. The show depicts a gripping cat-and-mouse chase between a seasoned criminal and an underdog cop. The show is a Tiger Baby Films and Excel Entertainment production directed by Ruchika Oberoi and Reema Kagti.

The series will have eight parts and is scheduled to release on Amazon Prime Video on May 12.
