COVID-19 positive television actors: The second wave of COVID has hit the world hard and India is not an exception in this case.
Even though the second wave has come to India later than other countries such as the UK, US, France etc, it is affecting the country hugely. As the cases of COVID-19 were on a decline in the country, the entertainment industry started working again, but with the surge in cases, actors from the industry have been testing positive every day.
Narayani Shastri is one of the latest TV personalities to test positive for novel coronavirus. Apart from the Shastri, here are other actors who tested positive for COVID-19 recently.
Priyal Mahajan
Molkki actor Priyal Mahajan was tested positive for COVID-19 on March 19, days after her co-star Amar Upadhyay was tested positive for the virus. The actor shared the news through Instagram story saying that she contracted the virus even after taking all the necessary precautions. She asked her fans to pray for her and said that she will come back to work in no time. Mahajan is under self-quarantine at her home and is receiving medication for her condition.
Monalisa
Monalisa, who plays Iravati in the Colors show Namak Issk Ka has recently tested positive for COVID. Monalisa's husband Vikrant Singh Rajpoot confirmed the news on April 1 that Monalisa has tested positive in an interview with Saas Bahu Aur Betiyaan. He informed that Monalisa is asymptomatic and is receiving medical attention at home.
Nikki Tamboli
The Bigg Boss 14 fame actor Nikki Tamboli tested positive for COVID on March 20 this year. The actor informed her fans about it via Instagram and has said that she has home quarantined herself.
The actor has now however recovered from the virus after 14 days. On April 5, she shared the news on Instagram saying that she has recently tested negative.
Ariah Agarwal
Prem Bandhan actor Ariah Agarwal was tested positive for the virus on March 16. In an interview with E Times, the actor said that she was suffering from light fever, and when she got the test, she was positive for the virus. She has already recovered from the virus and has started shooting for the show. Agarwal was tested positive after her co-star Manit Joura from the show. She plays the antagonist in the show.
Daljeet Kaur
Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon actor Daljeet Kaur has also tested positive for COVID on March 29. She informed about the news to her fans via Instagram. Kaur has been admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital for treatment.
Toral Rasputra
After more than a couple of actors from the show Molkki have contracted the virus, Toral Rasputra also tested positive for COVID on April 2. The actor shared the news in an interview with Aaj Tak and said that she hoped to be tested negative soon. She is receiving medical attention from her home as she has self quarantined herself.
Rupali Ganguly
Anupamma star Rupali Ganguly has tested positive for COVID on Thursday, April 1, after her co-actor Ashish Mehrotra tested positive in February. The actor took to Instagram to inform her fans about it. She has self quarantined herself. Ganguly's family members also tested for the virus but have been tested negative. Paras Kalnawat from the show has already recovered and has resumed shooting.
Narayani Shastri
Narayani Shastri, who is an important part of the show Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha has contracted the virus on April 4. The producer of the show, Sonali Jaffar informed the media about Shastri's condition saying that it was very unfortunate. After this, the entire cast and crew of the show have been tested and isolated. The producer of the show said that health is their first priority and they have been continuously in touch with the cast and crew.
Shastri is under home quarantine and is receiving medical attention.
