Wedding feast for Animals: There are many animal lovers out there who will do anything to make their pets a part of their life, especially crucial events like events like weddings. But for some, their love for animals doesn't stop at their pets . For instance, did you know that a Nellore-based couple decided to feed animals including cows, rabbits, monkeys, and birds for their wedding celebration.
A lot of couples today choose to celebrate their wedding day in an eco-friendly manner, while also doing good for the community and the planet. Some couples donate blood, some plant trees, some give back to charity, and some like this couple from Andhra Pradesh shower love on animals.
According to reports, a couple named Nikhil and Raksha decided that they will be including animals in their wedding celebration along with their family, instead of other guests.
The wedding celebrations included feeding cows, monkeys, rabbits, and birds at the Shri Mahaveer Pashu Seva Kendra. This took place in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Nikhil and Raksha also went on to organise the wedding feast for these animals for three days straight.

Upon hearing the news, netizens applauded their compassionate gesture and kindness towards animals who probably needed the food more than most of the guests would. Some even called them '"trendsetters".
How we treat animals reflect our society. This family celebrated marriage in a unique way with domestic animals.#animal #animallovers @Amul_Coop https://t.co/GpxA9YkdZU

Some netizens also joked that the animals they were feeding would not criticise the bride’s dress, the food, or various aspects of the wedding as some human guests are known to do.
Wow what a beautiful video post @hvgoenka, it's really a wonderful gesture. Nothing could be better to this. Simply overwhelmed. Apart from silent blessings from animals n birds, my blessings is also with the newly married couple. https://t.co/9V2dziXG6t

Last year, Noorjahan Khatun, a bride-to-be from West Bengal set up a blood donation camp for her wedding celebration. She also set up an initiative to distribute books.
Khatun, who is a teacher by profession, said that she did this because some blood banks were running dry due to the pandemic. “I had heard that blood banks are running dry amid the COVID-19 crisis. This was my small effort to help people during medical emergencies” she said. Read more on that here.
