Chhorii Release Date Revealed: Nushrratt Bharuccha's Horror Film Slated For November

Chhorii Release Date: The teaser of Nushrratt Bharuccha's upcoming horror film Chhorii was launched on November 9, also announcing the film's OTT release date. Directed by Vishal Furia, the movie revolves around a would-be-mother on run, who begins experiencing paranormal activities.

The caption accompanying Chhorii's teaser reveals that it is set deep in the heartlands of India. "Chhorii is the story of a modern, young couple, Sakshi (Nushrratt Bharuccha) and Hemant. Sakshi is eight months pregnant with her first child when the couple, forced out of their home, escapes from the city and seeks refuge in a house located deep inside sugarcane fields."

Chhorii is a remake of the 2017 Marathi horror film Lapachhapi, featuring Pooja Sawant, Usha Naik and Vikram Gaikwad. The film marked Furia's debut as a director.

As fate (or Bollywood) would have it, the house in question is inhabited by an old couple who seem to know more than they tell. Unknown to the protagonist, the house and the fields are plagued by dark secrets that start unravelling as the story unfolds, posing a threat to Sakshi and her unborn child. "Even as Sakshi tries to save herself and her unborn baby, scary sightings of three mysterious kids and a charred monster coupled with an eerie lullaby, emanating from an old transistor, wreak havoc with her sanity."

Will Sakshi be able to save herself? Will she be able to protect her unborn child? Viewers will find out when the film releases.

Apart from Nushrratt Bharuccha, the film also features Mita Vasisht, Saurabh Goyal, Rajesh Jais, Pallavi Ajay and Yaaneea Bharadwaj in key roles.

Chhorii release date

Chhorii will have its OTT premiere on November 26 on Amazon Prime Video. Anyone with a valid subscription to the platform will be able to stream it from the said date.
