World Cancer Day, an international day marked on February 4, 2022, raises awareness around cancer and encourages its prevention, detection, and treatment.

1 Hamsa Nandini
The Telegu actress Hamsa Nandini revealed that she had a Grade III Invasive Carcinoma (breast cancer). This was discovered when the 37-year-old found a 'tiny lump' in her breast which she had checked out and underwent chemotherapy. She refused to act like a victim and talked about her fears openly.
2 Barbara Mori
Barbara Mori is an actress known for her role in Kites starring opposite Hrithik Roshan. She has been an active member when it comes to raising cancer awareness and was diagnosed with breast cancer quite early in her career.
Celebrity Cancer Survivors
3 Mumtaz
Actor Mumtaz had been diagnosed with breast cancer in the year 2002. Although she was 50, the veteran actress was able to defeat cancer after six chemotherapies and 35 radiation treatments.
4 Tahira Kashyap
Filmmaker Tahira Kashyap, married to actor Ayushmann Khurana, was diagnosed with Stage 0 breast cancer. She did not feel the need to hide it and in fact, documented her journey to inspire women around the world. She was cancer-free in 2019 and her journey has provided inspiration and encouraged many women in the world not to lose hope.

5 Sonali Bendre
Sonali Bendre, an actress by profession was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in the year 2018. She received intensive treatment in New York and despite this, maintained a cheerful attitude through every stage.
6 Nafisa Ali
Actress Nafisa Ali, the veteran actor who was part of the film Life In A... Metro spoke up about her continuous battle with leukoderma, which is a form of skin illness characterized by discoloured patches that result due to severe chemotherapy.
7 Manisha Koirala
Actress Manisha Koirala was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012. The actor underwent several months of chemotherapy and actively promotes cancer awareness. She has also documented her journey in her autobiography Healed: How Cancer Gave Me a New Life and revealed how her family, friends, and self-belief helped her achieve health.
8 Kirron Kher
Actor Kirron Kher was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, which is a blood cancer in 2021. Her treatment was in progress and she had already resumed work as a judge in India's Got Talent currently alongside Shilpa Shetty and Baadshah.
9 Lisa Ray
Actress Lisa Ray announced her cancer diagnosis publicly in 2009 and was open in her condition about cancer battle. She has posted images and raised awareness about cancer.
