Across the globe, millions of people have tuned in to the legal battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard over a defamation case and domestic abuse. A new star that has come out of this case is Johnny Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez. She has caught the attention of the millions by representing her client in the defamation case against Heard.

The Jury took time to deliberate and gave a unanimous verdict in favour of Johnny Depp. The court ruled that Amber Heard defamed Johnny Depp by writing the op-ed in the Washington Post where she called herself a survivor of domestic abuse.

Johnny Depp will be given 15 million dollars by Amber Heard. The jury also partially favoured Amber Heard which is why will be getting two million dollars. In a two-minute-long video, she is shown interrupting Heard's lawyer with the legal term used to lodge a formal protest in court, object. The video has more the 27 million views on TikTok. It has also led to people recreating it as parodies with #CamilleVasquez trending on social media.

Camille Vasquez: Why Is She Trending?

The trail happening is a follow up on the 2018 case, where Depp was accused of domestic abuse by his former wife and actor Amber Heard. Heard in an article in Washington Post called herself a survivor of domestic abuse. Post which, Depp lodged a defamation suit of $50 million against Heard.

Vasquez is representing Depp. There were rumours of them being romantically involved, which Vasquez denied. Apart from her name, she was also known as the fireband attorney. She hails from Los Angeles in California, United States.

Born to Leonel Vasquez and Marilia Vasquez in 1984, she has a sister named Shari K Vasquez. She completed her education at the Southwestern Law School and has attended the University of Southern California.

She is a lawyer, and entrepreneur, who started working with Brown Rudnick LLP as an associate in 2018. According to her biography at the firm, she is an associate at the Firm's Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group. Her current practice focuses on plaintiff-side defamation suits.

Many social media users also made memes about Vasquez and Depp's courtroom exchanges making it seem like they are romantically involved. So far, no official statement on the same has been released so the duo might just have a professional rapport and nothing else.
